Can your Visual Fault Locators (VFL) determine the exact distance to a break?
VFLs (Red Light Sources) are designed to visually locate faults by leaking red light at the break point, typically effective up to 10-20km depending on power (15-50mW). For measuring the exact numerical distance to a break, you would typically need an OTDR, though our VFLs are the perfect tool for short-range visual identification in patch panels and splice closures.
