A PON Power Meter (like our NK307PON) is specifically designed for FTTx networks; it has built-in filters to test 1310nm upstream, and 1490nm/1550nm downstream signals simultaneously and independently, which is essential for activating PON services.

VFLs (Red Light Sources) are designed to visually locate faults by leaking red light at the break point, typically effective up to 10-20km depending on power (15-50mW). For measuring the exact numerical distance to a break, you would typically need an OTDR, though our VFLs are the perfect tool for short-range visual identification in patch panels and splice closures.
