Description

Product Overview

The Round DROP Mini ADSS Cable GJFJU(TPU) is a self-supporting fiber drop cable with a round, flexible TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) outer jacket. Designed specifically for last-mile FTTH aerial connections — from the final distribution pole to the subscriber premises — it combines ADSS self-supporting technology with consumer-friendly installation characteristics.

At just ≤15 kg/km and featuring G.657A2 bend-insensitive fiber, this cable is lightweight enough for single-technician installation yet tough enough for 20+ years of outdoor aerial service. The TPU jacket provides superior UV, weather, and abrasion resistance compared to standard PVC drop cables.

Applications

  • FTTH Residential Drop (Aerial): The final connection from the last distribution pole to the home — the most common application for this cable type.
  • Small Business FTTP: Last-span connectivity for small offices and retail locations served by aerial fiber networks.
  • Rural Broadband Last-Mile: Lightweight, cost-effective drop solution for rural FTTH deployments where pole-to-premises distances typically fall within 50M.
  • MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) Distribution: In-building or exterior distribution in apartment complexes with short-span requirements.

FAQ

MOQ is 5 km per configuration. Standard lead time is 10–15 days. Custom options such as fiber count (1–4 cores), jacket color, cable marking, and packaging (wooden drum or coil) can be arranged on request. For projects with multiple configurations, mixed orders are accepted with a per-configuration minimum of 1 km.

Round DROP Mini ADSS uses a TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) jacket instead of standard PVC. TPU offers 20+ year outdoor UV resistance (vs PVC degradation in direct sun), superior abrasion resistance, higher flexibility for routing through tight corners, halogen-free certification for safe indoor transition, and wider temperature tolerance (-30°C to +60°C vs PVC’s -10°C to +50°C). It’s also lightweight (≤15 kg/km) for single-technician aerial installation.

Up to 50 meters self-supporting. With a separate messenger wire, spans up to 80 meters are achievable. Both configurations use G.657A2 bend-insensitive fiber, which maintains optical performance even when routed through tight indoor corners during the final drop from the distribution pole to the subscriber premises.

Yes. The TPU jacket is halogen-free and emits no toxic fumes in case of fire, making it compliant for indoor transition from the building entry point to the ONT (Optical Network Terminal). The 2.0×5.0mm flat or 3.0mm round profile fits standard indoor conduit, and G.657A2 fiber allows tight-bend routing around door frames and inside wall channels.

Standard SC/APC, SC/UPC, FC, and LC connectors with 2.0×5.0mm or 3.0mm boots are directly compatible. For pre-terminated assemblies, ZTO provides factory-installed connectors with optional pulling eyes for aerial installation. Field-installable connectors (fast/quick connectors) are also supported for on-site termination by the installation crew.
